House. Probably early C17, remodelled early C20. Timber-framed, pebbledashed
with red brick stacks and additions. Plain tile roof. L-plan. Front range 2
storeys and attic with rear cross range to right. Later additions to rear not of
special interest. Front: French windows flanked by horned sashes with glazing
bars. 2 casements above. End stack to left, ridge stack off-centre to right with
4 octagonal shafts, both stacks rebuilt. Timber coved eaves. Gable end to right
early C19 bow with sashes with glazing bars, casements to 1st floor and attic.
Short cross wing. Interior: remodelled early C20. Large chamfered longitudinal
beam. Inserted probable early C18 dogleg staircase with 2 turned balusters per
tread, square newels and ramped handrail, panelled dado follows line of stair.
Frame exposed in part at 1st floor, chamfered jowled posts, chamfered arch brace.
Chamfered longitudinal beam with run-out stop. Clasped purlin roof with wind
braces.
