GV II
House. Early-mid C16, with later alterations. Timber-framed, underbuilt in
painted brick, rendered. Plain tiles, red brick stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Central C20 doorway under gabled tiled porch. C20 casements. Swept roof,external
gable-end stacks. Extension under pent roof to rear. Interior: chamfered jowled
posts, chamfered beams and exposed joists. Rear wall has diamond mortices. 1st
floor 2 trusses, chamfered cambered tie beam with arch braces. Bases of crown
posts visible, square posts with braces to purlin and collars. Alterations to
roof including insertion of purlins.
