Cottage opposite garden of The Orchard

House, with later division to 2 dwellings. C16, early C19 alterations. Timber-
framed, front underbuilt in painted brick. Plain tile roof, red brick stack. 2
storeys, probably originally jettied to front. Two 4-panel doors in architraves,
flanked by casements. Close studding above middle rail with arched down braces.
1 blocked 2-light window, otherwise 2 casements. Swept roof. Off-centre ridge
stack. Tie beam and studded gable exposed to right. Interior not inspected.
