(North Side, off)
3/25 Six-bay Barn at Sulleys
Manor Farm
Threshing barn. Probably c1600, later alterations. Timber-framed on red brick
plinth, weatherboarded. Corrugated asbestos roof. 6-bay barn with aisle and gabled
midstrey to north east side with opposed double doors. Extensions to left in brick
and breezeblock not of special interest. Roof hipped to right. Interior: chamfered
jowled posts with arch braces to tie-beams and arcade plate. Studded walls, partly
concealed by cladding. End walls partly reconstructed. Clasped purlin roof with
windbraces. Herringbone brick threshing floor. A particularly good example in
this area.
