House. Completed 1841 with later additions and alterations. For Venn family. Brick,
stuccoed. Slate roof. 2 storeys. Main range of 5 bays with central pedimented
breakforward of 3 bays. 2 storey recessed range to left and further, lower, recessed
addition to far left. Central projecting Doric porch with frieze and mutule cornice
contains half-glazed double-leaf doors with flanking pilasters. 12-pane sashes,
some horned. 1st floor band. Cornice and pediment. Wing to left has half-glazed
door to right and 12-pane sash, 1st floor band and 6-pane sashes above. Further
addition has 12-pane sashes. 6-bay right return wall with French window and 12-pane
sashes. Interior has later C19 features and C20 detailing in a C18 style.
