Thorington Hall

Former service range to Thorington Hall (qv), now cottage. Probably C17 with later
alterations. Timber-framed, rendered, part cased in brick. Plain tile roof. Single
storey and attic. Entrance front (formerly rear): 6-paned door to left, half-glazed
door to right under pent tiled porch. 12-pane sash to left, casement window to right
adjoining external stack, the upper part of which had been rebuilt. Further C20
window to right. Gabled dormer with bargeboards and casement window. Swept roof
with bargeboards to gables. Further external stack to left. Interior not fully
inspected but studded walls and chamfered beam and joists visible.
