TM 04 NE BURSTALL THE STREET
1/6 Canes Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C16 or earlier, c1600, later converted to row of cottages, C20 extension.
Timber-framed, rendered, plain tile roof. 3 cell, one and a half and 2 storeys,
the central cell formerly an open hall, having an inserted floor of c1600. Scattered
fenestration of metal and timber casements. First floor casement to left hand,
2 casement dormers. 2 boarded doors and one part glazed door, one to each cell.
Brick stacks, one placed axially, one external at left hand gable. Rear outshut,
weatherboarded, tile roofed, with metal casements. Scroll patterned pargetting
said to remain on original rear wall. Interior limited inspection. Opposing doorway
in rear wall to each front doorway, central door having strap hinges. Chamfered
bressummer to hall fireplace. Stairs set against front of stack. No access to right
hand or upper rooms.
