GV II
House. Late C18, with later C17 parallel ranges to rear. C18 build, gault brick,
peg-tile roofs. Facade, 2 storeys, 3 bays, rebuilt brick parapet, internal end
stacks. Ground floor sashes with glazing bars, central open pedimented doorcase,
supported on pilasters, broken fluted frieze, delicate glazed fanlight, panelled
reveals and soffit, 6 panel door of which four are glazed. 3 first floor metal
framed hung windows but in unaltered openings. Rear ranges, facade to road, 2
storeys, 2 windows, mainly small paned with one opening light, one ground floor 6-
light C20 casement. Internal end stack. 6 panel door with simple doorcase, beneath
canopy. Interior: front range, pine fittings including stair with turned newels,
stick balusters, moulded rail, fireplace with reeded pilasters flanked by semi-
circular or depressed arched alcoves with reeded architraves. 8-panel doors with
HL hinges, that at rear beneath fanlight. Rear ranges much altered.
