TM 14 SW BELSTEAD CHAPEL LANE

House, divided in two. Probably late C16 or early C17, partly refurbished
1980's. Timber framed, rendered, brick casing to left hand return. Plaintile
roof. 3 cells, If storeys, with cellar to left. C20 extension to rear now
forming L plan. Middle cell has timber porch and boarded door, with C19 timber
3-light cross casement to right. 2-light casement dormer above. To right,
modernized 1980's, 3-light casement and 2-light dormer above. Entrance in right
hand return. Axial brick stack between 2nd and 3rd cells. Interior. Stack
partly rebuilt and encased to right. Square joists with stop chamfers. Stairs
replaced to right hand cell, formerly to front, but survive to rear of middle
cell. Despite modernization, frame and original roof said to survive.
