Listing Text

The Orchards
House. Later C16, C18, part rebuilt C20. Timber framed rendered, extended to
left and to rear in brick, C18, plaintile roofs. 4 cells, originally three.
Axial stack between 2nd and 3rd cells of original build, gable end stack to
left. 1½ storeys. Part-glazed door to far right. Single light to right, small
paned 2-leaf casement to left. Roughly central door in brick porch, with
3-light casement to left and right. Brick wing has C20 2-light casement. 4
plaintiled 2-light timber casement dormers. Interior. Bar stopped transverse
beam, horizontal joists. Said to have small first floor blocked window and
pargetting to former left hand gable. Partial internal inspection only.
