Farmhouse. In two builds, C16 and c1600, restored C20. Timber framed, rendered,
plaintile roof. 2 storeys, 2 cell lobby-entry plan, with extension to rear.
Central axial brick stack central boarded door. To each floor to left and right,
a 2-light timber casement. Similar first floor and attic casement to left hand
return. Good quality close studded frame, much replaced on right hand return
ground floor. Rear wall partly removed at ground floor. Left hand return ground
floor of brick. Left hand cell has bar stopped chamfers to ceiling beams, square
joists. Exposed brick fireplace with original bressumer. Right hand cell has
two small 3-light ovolo moulded mullion windows below ceiling level. Square
joists, some replaced. Exposed brick stack of English and mixed bonds, with
chamfered arriG and chamfered bressumer first floor jowled posts, original
ceiling with cambered beam. Original window to front. Blocked 4-light diamond
mullion window to rear. Cross beams to left, ceiling, braced and wall. Right
hand cell has 2 bay butt purlin roof with collars and cranked braces. Left hand
cell has 2 bay clasped purlin roof, also with cranked braces.
