2/17 Nos 1 and 2 Old Hall Cottages


GV II

House now 2 dwellings. C16/C17. Timber-framed and plastered. Red plain tiled
roof. Off centre left red brick chimneystack. 2 storeys and attics. 4-window
range of small paned vertically sliding sashes. Two C20 doors with early surrounds
and moulded pediments. Internally the frame appears intact with side girts, top
plates and jowled storey posts visible. Heavy stop-chamfered bridging joists, large
chimney stack now blocked with C20 fire surrounds. Moulded 4-board attic door
to No 1. Moulded jowls to ground floor chimney-breasts.
