Cottage. C16/C17 or earlier, roof raised in C17 C19 extension bay and rear bake-
house to right. Timber framed, C19 red brick facade. Red pantile roof. Off-centre
forward of ridge red brick chimneystack and rear right stack. One storey and attics.
Catslide dormer to left. 2 ground floor small paned vertically sliding sashes.
Right and left vertically boarded doors, simple surrounds. Internally much of the
frame is covered but the original, probably C16/C17 buildings roof was raised in C17
to provide attic bedrooms, the chimney has been inserted and a later bay and bake-
house added to right. The rear top plate and wall studs of the original build are
visible under the decorations. The raised roof is supported by a truss with arch
braced tie-beam to left of the chimneystack, the top plates for this frame visible
in front and rear walls. Stairs by chimney, many original vertically boarded doors.
