Public house. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed
and plastered with some painted brick. Red plain tiled roofs. Hall house with
original right and C18 left cross-wings, C20 right extension. Right gable jettied
to first floor. One storey and attics hall and left range, 2-storey right range.
2 red brick chimneystacks to left return of left range, right forward of ridge
chimneystack to hall. 1:1:1 window range with gabled dormers to right return of
left range and to left of hall, mainly small paned vertically sliding sashes, angled
bay below right jetty. Grey slate roof to lean-to porch right of hall, vertically
boarded door. C20 single storey extension with roof hipped to right, 3 windows
and recessed porch.
