On site of Manor House. C17 and perhaps earlier work remains obscured
by later renovations and additions. Present front C19 red brick with
stone dressings including canted oriel at 1st floor above advanced
central entrance with depressed pointed doorway. Sculptured coat of
arms. 2 storeys, 4 windows main portion including several splay
bay mullion transom windows. Tall 1 storey wing to left, and modern
wing to right, 2 streys. 1 window. Red tile roof. Interior:
probably early C17 attic roof members, various hand wrought 2-panel
doors at 1st floor. Renewed beams ground floor with mouldings.
Late C19 wide stair up 1st floor.
