The Old Cottage
TL 84 NE 6/406 23.3.61.

A timber-framed house with a cross wing at the east end. Probably of
mediaeval origin, altered in the C16-C17. The west bay of the main block
is plastered and the remainder has exposed timber-framing with plaster
infil. The upper storey of the cross wing is jettied on the front on
exposed joists. The main block is 1 storey and attics and the cross wing
is 2 storeys. The windows are lattice leaded casements and the ground
storey window to the wing is flanked by small high level lights. Roof
tiled. There is a tall chimney stack on the south of the main block and
1 modern dormer.
