A C16-C17 timber-framed house. Refronted in the C19 in grey gault brick
with corner pilasters. With C18 features at the rear. 2 storeys. 3
window range on the west front and 3 window range on the south, double-hung
sashes without glazing bars. The west front has 3-light outer windows
and a single light centre window with a semi-circular headed upper sash,
with reconstructed stone surrounds and cornices on console brackets.
A central 4-panel door with round-headed upper panels and a semi-circular
fanlight has a reconstructed stone doorcase with panelled pilasters, frieze
and cornice. The south front has a canted bay on the ground storey at
the west end. The rear is timber-framed and plastered, with a C18 8-panel
door with shouldered architrave and a dentilled cornice on console brackets.
Roof tiled (old tiles), hipped at the south end with overhanging eaves
on shaped brackets. There are 3 original chimney stacks with 4 grouped
octagonal shafts with moulded caps, on a square base. The others have
2 octagonal shafts (restored or rebuilt).
