A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered house with a cross wing at the north
end. There is a later addition at the south end. The house is now completely
refaced in modern brickwork, colourwashed. 2 storeys. The south part
(garage) has C20 metal casements and a C20 shop front. The north cross
wing (Melford Galleries) has double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in
plain reveals. The ground storey has a small C19 shop window. Roof tiled,
with an original chimney stack with 4 grouped octagonal shafts on a square
base.
