Rectory, now house. Early C18 front and rear extension to early C17 house;
extended and altered c.1890. Early C18 Flemish bond brick over timber frame;
Flemish bond brick extensions to rear; old plain tile roof, hipped to front
and gabled to rear; brick ridge and end stacks. Plan: C17 house extended
to rear in early C18 to make L-plan with rear left wing; rear right wing of
c.1890. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 7-window range. Late C19
rendered porch to front of 6-panelled door in moulded wood architrave and
surrounded by reset early C17 panelling. Bay window to right has gauged
brick segmental arches over late C19 two-light casements set in moulded wood
architraves; similar fenestration to other segmental-arched windows; deep
eaves; hipped roof dormers. Early C18 two-storey rear left wing: gauged
brick segmental arches over two C19 first floor sashes of sixteen panes and 20
panes; bay to rear remodelled in mid C20. Late C19 two-storey rear right
wing has horned sashes with glazing bars and bay window.

Interior: large room to left has reset quartered chamfered beams, some
ovolo-moulded, and panelling dated 1617 with decoratively-carved frieze and
fine marquetry panels to overmantle; panelled room to right has cased beam
and strapwork carving to late C19 eared fireplace architrave; rear right room
has reset similar early C17 panelling, a very fine reset fireplace of c.1600
with flanking terms and strapwork carving, and reset moulded early C16 beams
with foliate stops; reset C17 panelling and some mid C18 panelling to stair
hall, which has reset open well staircase with heavy turned balusters (some
replaced in late C19); first floor has reset chamfered beams, C18 cupboard
with H hinges and C18 winder staircase to attic. The fine C17 interior
features and C16 beams appear to have been reset in their present position in
the late C19.
