Farmhouse, c.1600. 3-cell plan. The house was built with cross-passage
entrance but is now of lobby-entrance form, probably a later alteration. 2
storeys and attics. Timber-framed and rough-cast. Plaintiled roof with axial
C17 chimney of red brick, the shaft recapped in C20. Late C19/early C20
casements of 3 lights. C20 gabled entrance porch with pair of half-glazed
panelled doors. Back-to-back open fireplaces in hall and parlour, the latter
with plastered ovolo-moulded arched opening. Framing exposed internally with
evidence throughout for unglazed and shuttered windows. Butt purlin roof with
heavy principal rafters. A rear outshut was added in C18 or C19 and a
staircase wing added to it in C20.
