- Vale Farmhouse

Barn, 1615 as date carved on tie-beam of open truss. 5 bays. Timber-framed
and weatherboarded. Pantiled roof. Gabled midstrey added C18 or early C19 to
east side of central bay, with set of 4 boarded doors. A lower doorway with 2
doors on west side. Good and complete close-studwork with middle-rail and
tension stud-bracing. Wind-braced clasped-purlin roof. The two centre trusses
retain arch-braces, the intermediate trusses now having C18/C19 bolted knees.
