House, mid or late C16. 2-cell end-chimney plan. 1 storey and attics.
Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof, half-hipped at right-hand end;
eyebrow casement dormers and an internal C16/C17 end chimney of red brick.
C20 casements with leaded lights. C19 boarded entrance door at cross-entry.
Substantial and fairly complete framing: clasped purlin roof, unchamfered
floor joists and arch-braced studwork. At the service end wall, the half-
hipped roof is set upon base crucks which enabled a window to be placed under
the eaves. The single service room was subdivided from the hall by a screen,
pierced by a wide chamfered central opening.
