GV II

Barn, mid or late C16 with extensions of late C18. 4 original bays, the south
bay partitioned off and formerly a stable with chaff-loft above. Timber-
framed with much exposed original wattle and daub, augmented with C18/C19
weatherboarding. Hipped thatched roof. A set of 4 barn doors in centre bay,
with smaller boarded doors elsewhere. Good framing; studwork with long ogee-
curved tension-braces. Arch-braced open trusses, the braces renewed with
C18/C19 knees. Clasped-purlin roof. A 5th bay was added c.1800 at the north
end, as further stabling. A thatched porch and C19 pantiled extensions to
rear.
