GV II

Barn. Mid C16, reduced in size C18, altered C20. Timber frame with some
block replacement, plastered and weatherboarded. Hipped thatched roof. 3
bays. Central double doors with flanking C20 casement windows, right end
stable doors, weatherboarded ground floor to right and to rear. Interior:
rear wall close studding with mid-rail, reverse cranked arched braces, C18
right end wall, C20 left end and front walls; arched braces from jowled posts
to tie beams, some replaced by knees. Two queen post trusses with cambered
collars, some cranked braces to plates/purlins. Attached to left a 1 storey
C19 claylump and pantiled loose box with a stable door to front. Included for
group value.
