GV II

Barn. Mid to late C16. Timber frame, weatherboarded. Steeply pitched
asbestos roof. 5 bays with aisle to rear. Central cart entrance opening with
a small cart exit opening in continuous lean-to aisle to rear. Interior:
close studding with mid-rail, reverse curved tension braces in upper part of
walling. Edge halved scarf joints in plates, arched braces from arcade posts
to re-used arcade plate and down to aisle ties, arched braces from posts to
tie beams, largely replaced by knees, collars and halved principals clasp
purlins, arched windbraces.
