Pear Tree Farmhouse

Barn, late C17. 3 bays; the central entrance bay is narrower. Timber-framed
and weatherboarded. Corrugated asbestos roof, once thatched. A set of 4 C19
boarded barn doors on the west side. Studwork with heavy and prominent curved
rising primary braces. Clasped purlin roof. An interesting example of very
extensive reuse of mediaeval timber. C19 extensions, weatherboarded and
mainly pantiled.
