House, mid or late C16. 2 storeys, 3-cell plan. Timber-framed and plastered;
much early or original roughcast plaster. Pantiled roof, once thatched; an
axial chimney of rendered red brick. Mainly late C18 or early C19 3-light
casements. Boarded C19 entrance door with open gabled pantiled porch.
Unmoulded C16 framing: arch-windbraced studwork and heavy unchamfered floor
joists, probable queenpost roof (inaccessible). Most of the principal framing
members are reused from an earlier house. Back-to-back lintelled open
fireplaces. To left is a lower 2-storey extension of c.1800.
