Barn, 40m north of Gosbeck

Barn; core of c.1600 or late C16, with major remodelling of early C19. About
8 bays, including C19 stabling added to east end. Timber-framed and
weatherboarded. Pantiled roof, once thatched; cusped C19 bargeboards with
spike-finials. Some original walling has heavy studwork with arch wind-
bracing. Some open trusses retain arch-braced tie-beams. Much of walling and
the entire roof were rebuilt in early C19. Sets of C19 boarded barn and
stable doors. Included for group value.
