4/108 Former bakehouse range at
Bocking Hall

GV II

House, built mid C17 as a detached bakehouse and dairy range for Bocking Hall;
remodelled and converted to a separate dwelling in mid C20. Two storeys.
Timber framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with axial C19 chimney of red
brick Mid C20 casements and two half-glazed panelled entrance doors. Some
unmoulded C17 framing exposed; clearly contemporary with main house.
Unchamfered floor joists laid flat in the bakehouse (the dairy at right hand
end had no upper floor until C20). Butt purlin roof.
