Farmhouse, early C17. 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. 2 storeys and attics.
Timber-framed and plastered. Pantiled roof once thatched, with an axial C17
chimney of red brick and another of C19. Mid C20 casements. Mid C20 glazed-
pantiled lean-to entrance porch with half-glazed panelled door. Framing
partially exposed; floor joists unchamfered and large for date, tension stud-
braced close studding. Clasped purlin roof. Lintelled open fireplace in hall
and arched fireplace in parlour, both restored. An original rear one-
storey bakehouse wing with an open arch-braced truss; a 1st floor with on-edge
joists is a later insertion.
