Former farmhouse; core of early C16, with alterations of several dates
including c.1970. A timber-framed C16 range of 3 bays at centre. 2 storeys.
The 1st floor is long-wall jettied towards the road (the left hand bay later
underbuilt). Exposed close-studding; the bressumer, and the girth beneath the
jetty are moulded and embattled and the joist-ends are exposed. Two chamfered
brackets rise from pilasters with carved capitals. Plaintiled roof with axial
C19 chimney of red brick. C20 casements. A C19 range to left of red brick
and a C20 extension to right, plastered and plaintiled, are not of special
interest.
