1/29 Deepwell House


Former farmhouse, c.1600 and C18. 2-cells; the parlour block of c.1600 is the
larger. 2 storeys, the parlour block with attic. Timber-framed and
plastered. Thatched roof with axial chimney, a good original sawtooth shaft
of red brick. C20 metal casements with leaded lights. Mid C20 entrance door
in rear extension. The parlour block has good framing for date; an ovolo-
moulded bridging beam and unchamfered joists laid flat. Close-studding.
Newel staircase against chimney.
