Former farmhouse; built in 2 stages: late C16 and early C17. 1 storey and
attics. 2-cell lobby-entrance form since C17. Timber-framed and pebble-
dashed. Plaintiled roof: plaintiled gabled dormers of C17/C18 with C19 small-
pane casements. An axial C17 chimney with sawtooth shaft, now plastered but
probably of red brick. A mid C20 casement and a C19 small-paned casement.
C20 gabled slated entrance porch with panelled door. The right-hand cell
comprises a hall and chamber with features of 1550-1580: well chamfered joists
and main beams, an open fireplace with large cambered lintel. The parlour
cell to left is a rebuilding of early C17 with plain framing and a lintelled
open fireplace.
