2/144 The Shepherd and Dog
- II

Public house, C17 with alterations mainly of C19. 3-cell plan. One storey
and attics. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with C19 gabled
casement dormers. An axial C17/C18 chimney of orange and buff bricks, another
C19 chimney of red brick at left hand gable. C19 casements and sashes; a
large late C19 bay window with 6 linked sashes under a slated lean-to roof. A
C19 six-panelled entrance door, and a 4-panelled half glazed door to left.
Some unmoulded C17 framing exposed internally.
