Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17 in 2 phases; the right hand cell, which has a
slightly lower roof ridge, is the earlier. Timber framed and plastered, the
right gable end encased in colourwashed brick. Thatched roof. 2 storeys and
attic. 2-cell form. Various casement windows of C19 and C20 date. Lobby
entrance with gabled porch and a C19 panelled entrance door brought from
elsewhere. Internal stack. Good exposed timbering inside; the storey posts
in the earlier section have moulded heads. Some re-used oak panelling against
the stairs. Roof over earlier section has clasped purlins and arched wind-
bracing; over the later section there are diminished butt purlins.
