FRESSINGFIELD LITTLE WHITTINGHAM GREEN,

Former farmhouse. Early C17 with mid C20 addition to left. Timber framed,
encased in red brick, partly in rat-trap bond. The right gable end, entirely
rebuilt mid C20, is rendered over. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys and attic.
Originally 2-cell form with lobby entry; 3 cells as extended. Mid C20
casement windows; mid C20 conservatory-type porch. 2 internal stacks, the
smaller at the gable end of the original range. Part of the frame is exposed
internally, with an original first floor. window with ovolo mullions. Joists
in one ground floor room are set on edge; in the other room they are concealed.
Original newel stairs. Roof with clasped and diminished butt purlins.
