Farmhouse. C16. Timber framed and plastered, with a colourwashed brick gable
end to the right. Roof of glazed black pantiles. 2 storeys. 3-cell form. 4
windows, various C19 and C20 casements. Cross-passage entry with 6-panel
door, the upper 2 panels glazed. Internal stack. C20 single-storey lean-to
on left hand gable end and further lean-to's at the rear. Some framing is
visible inside, mainly at first floor level, with evidence for 2 original
windows in the rear wall. Against the cross-passage a blocked service doorway
with 4-centre arched head. Heavy plain joists in one ground floor room. In
the hall the fireplace lintol is inscribed 'February 24 SS 1684'. The roof is
a later replacement, perhaps C19.
