Farmhouse. Mid-late C16, possibly in 2 phases, with C19 alterations. Timber
framed, mainly encased in C19 red brick with pilaster strips at the angles.
Pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 3-cell lobby entry form. 3 windows, mainly C18-
C19 casements under flat arches. Mid C20 lean-to porch with entrance door in
side wall; the doorway within the porch has a C19 6-panel door (the upper
section glazed), broad fluted pilasters, frieze and bracketed cornice (partly
obscured). Internal stack. Timber frame largely intact, much of it exposed
on the upper floor with evidence for diamond-mullioned windows. Ground floor
fireplace with eared surround. C19 stair tunnelled through stack. Queen-post
roof.
