3/133 Chestnut Cottage

House. Probably C15, with C16-C17 and C19 alterations. Timber framed, the
front and left gable end encased in C19 red brick, the remainder plastered.
Pantiled roof. 1½ storeys. 4 windows, mid C20 small-paned casements. 4
gabled dormers. Internal stack with rendered shaft. Mid C20 door within
enclosed gabled porch against left gable end. The structure is in 4 bays, the
bay at the right hand end being a later addition. Intact first floor studding
and a blocked window with diamond mullions, probably part of a hall window.
Floor structure mostly concealed.
