Former farmhouse, now 2 cottages. The smaller right hand cottage is unmodernised. Late C16 with early C19 alterations. Timber framed and plastered; at the front and rear the ground floor is faced in red brick. Thatched roof. two storeys and attic. Two ground floor two-light casement windows under segmental arches; Two first floor two-light and one single-light casements, all C19. Two C19 boarded doors. Two early C19 external stacks, one at each gable end. A good quality frame, mostly concealed in the left cottage. Evidence for many original windows. In each gable is an incomplete six-light mullion and transom window with cavetto mullions (both blocked). Original newel stairs (two flights). Intact roof: clasped and butt purlins, cranked wind-bracing, evidence for original dormers. There is no clear evidence for the original heating: presumably there was a stack set against the rear wall.
