GV II

House. Late C17, altered and extended C19 and C20. Timber frame, part red
brick, extended in clay lump, all plastered. Steeply pitched black glazed
pantiled roof with shallow pitched red pantiled roof on addition. 2 cells, 1
storey and attic with a 2 storey bay added to right. Central door to left of
original entrance, flanking 2-light glazing bar casements with hoodboards, Sun
Fire Insurance marker introduced over door. 2 raking dormers. Left end red
brick with an internal axial stack. Addition to right has 2-light glazing bar
casements, an internal left end stack, right end pentice board. To rear a low
clay lump backhouse with a separate roof, external stack with offsets, C20
lean-to addition. Interior: frame largely concealed, stop chamfered joists,
reused C16 roll and ovolo moulded binding beam, collars clasp purlins.
