- The Laurels

GV II

House, latterly 3 dwellings. Late C17 or early C18, extended early C19,
altered C20. Timber frame, probably extended in clay lump, plastered.
Thatched roof with shallower pitch on red pantiled extension. 3 cells, 1
storey and attic with 1 bay, 2 storey addition to right. A glazed door, 4 C20
2-light glazing bar casements with hoodboards, three 2-light eyebrow thatched
dormers. Internal left end stack, rebuilt capping. Left end exposed plates
and purlins. C19 bay to right has an entrance towards left, C20 door with a
tiled hood, 16 pane glazing bar sashes. Catslide roof to rear over 1 storey
and attic lean-to behind C19 bay, stack on rear slope. Interior not
inspected. Included for group value.
