GV II

House, latterly 3 dwellings. Late C16 or early C17, front range rebuilt in
early C19. Clay lump to front with earlier timber frame to rear. Stuccoed
and incised to resemble ashlar. Pantiled roofs. An L on plan with early wing
to rear left, 4 cell early C19 front range. 2 storeys. Ground floor: 2
entrances, that to right of centre with a recessed 6 fielded panelled door,
pilastered doorcase with roundels in entablature, projecting cornice. Left
hand entrance, door with 4 raised and 2 glazed panels, simple surround with
hoodboard. Mixed C19 and C20 casements and a 10:10 pane sash in a moulded
frame. First floor: two 2-light metal frame casements to right, a 3-light
glazing bar casement to left. Boxed eaves. Internal right end stack. To
rear left extends early 2 bay wing with a steeply pitched roof and an axial
ridge stack. Interior: early bays have curved tension braces in walling, a
notched ovolo moulded axial binding beam, chamfered binding beam to front
section. First floor not inspected.
