House, latterly 2 dwellings. Mid to late C16. Stack inserted in mid C17,
refronted in C19. Timber frame. Plastered and refronted in red brick.
Steeply pitched glazed pantiled roof. Small 3 cell plan. 1 storey and attic.
Entrance to right, 2 and 3-light glazing bar casements, all recessed with
segmental heads and hood moulds. Former entrance and C20 garage door to left.
A 2-light bargeboarded gabled dormer. Axial ridge stack to right of centre,
rebuilt in C19 with sawtooth shaft. Brick faced gable ends. To rear lean-to
outshut addition and a 2 storey brick addition beyond which extends a clay
lump wing. Interior: an opposing pair of base cruck blades to raised tie beam
on central truss over hall, elsewhere box framing with jowled posts, ground
floor chamfered axial binding beams.
