TM 07 NE WORTHAM THE LING (SOUTH SIDE)

House, latterly 3 dwellings. C16 or C17, altered and extended C19 and C20.
Timber frame, part red brick cased. Plastered. Steeply pitched pantiled
roofs. Originally 2 cells and probably single storey, cross range and stack
added to right to form an L on plan. 1 storey and attics. C20 2 and 4-light
casements with hoodmoulds, 2 gabled bargeboarded dormers. Axial ridge stack
to right of main range. C19 internal left end stack with red brick quoined
end wall. To right slightly lower 2 bay range extends forward with
bargeboarded gable to front, hip to rear. Entrance in a C20 gabled porch
added to left return of this range. To rear dormer windows and a C20 lean-to
addition. Interior: altered exposed framing with some close studding, tension
bracing, stop chamfered axial and cross axial binding beams and joists,
thinner scantling in addition to right, framing partly concealed, first floor
not inspected.
