Farmhouse. Early C17, refronted and altered mid to late C19, extended C20.
Timber frame, red brick casing with white brick dressings, part tile hung and
plastered. Steeply pitched glazed pantiled roof. 3 cell lobby entry plan. 2
storeys. Ground floor: entrance to right of centre in a C19 gabled porch, now
blocked, chamfered head to segmental arched opening, bargeboards. 3-light
transomed C19 glazing bar casements, recessed in stop chamfered segmentally
arched reveals, similar 3-light windows on first floor. Rebuilt ridge stack
with moulded base and oversailing cap. Tile hung right gable end, exposed
double purlins. Left end C20 addition, C19 and C20 additions to rear left
behind service bay.Small casements in plastered rear elevation with a ground
floor C20 addition. Interior: frame partially concealed, close studding,
chamfered and stop chamfered axial binding beams, reverse curved and straight
bracing in walls, 4-light square mullioned window openings.
