2/17 Elmtree Farmhouse

Farmhouse, early C18. Timber-framed and plastered; gable ends of red brick with
random burnt headers; a band at gable foot. Parapet gables with tumbled-in brick-
work at parapets and moulded kneelers; internal end chimneys of red brick. Thatched
roof with gabled plain tiled casement dormers. 3 windows, 2 storeys and attics.
3-light C18 casements with transomes; wrought iron casements at centre. 6-panelled
entrance door, the lower panels fielded and the upper pair glazed. Entablature
with pulvinated frieze and pediment. A rear 1 1/2 storey service wing at centre is
perhaps contemporary.
