Farmhouse, late C16. 2-cell end-chimney plan. 2 storeys and attics. Timber-
framed and plastered. Slated roof once thatched; an internal C16 end chimney
of red brick. C18 windows with wrought iron casements. C20 gabled entrance
porch with panelled door. A mid/late C19 2 storey extension to right; 2
windows, small-pane sashes. Good unmoulded framing exposed throughout. Twin
service rooms (now united) and an original staircase, with splat balusters at
the head. Chamfered floor joists, laid flat. The attic floor joists are
massive and unchamfered, and are reused from a medieval house. Clasped purlin
roof.
