House, mid or late C16 and in 2 stages. 3-cell plan. 2 storeys. Timber-
framed and plastered. Pantiled roof, once thatched; two axial chimneys of red
brick, one with rebuilt mid C20 shaft, the other of C19. Mainly 3-light early
C20 casements; two C18 casements at 1st storey. C20 framed and boarded door
with plaintiled cantilevered canopy. A 2-bay section at the right hand end
has an open truss at the right-hand gable, and must have once extended to
right. The main section of the house is of c.1570, with good unmoulded
framing: a cambered arch-braced tie-beam, chamfered floor joists laid flat,
and a lintelled open fireplace. Part of a cross-passage screen with planks
and chamfered muntins
