TM 0262

8/110 Nos. 44 (part) 46 and 48

Two houses and part of a third. Built in C17 or earlier as one 3-cell house.
2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered. Roman pantiled roof once thatched;
an axial chimney of C19 gault brick with red brick quoins; an external C17
chimney to left: the base is plastered and the sawtooth shaft of buff bricks.
This chimney was originally internal, suggesting that the house extended
further to the left. Mid C20 casements. No.46 has a C19 4-panelled door,
No.48 a framed and boarded stable-type door. The higher section of No.44 and
its single-storey extension to right are not of special interest. Interior
not examined.
